Key Relationship Issues

Attention

After work, exercise, groceries, cooking, the kids, tidying the house and Netflix, you're so tired there's no energy left to really pay attention to each other.

Intimacy

After so much time together, intimacy fades. You enjoy being together, but you miss the passion in your relationship. You feel a barrier you don't know how to break through.

Infidelity

It hurts the person you love, and it hurts you too. You keep hearing the same accusations and don't know how to work through it together. Your partner feels insecure and anxious, and that shows up as anger, withdrawal, and needing to know everything.

If you make love work, Loveworkx for you.

Loveworkx Approach

The Loveworkx method: vision, patterns, passion, and issues

What

We help to create great, fulfilling and exciting relationships and spare couples a bitter and bad divorce. We love to work with couples of both Dutch and other nationalities.

How

We use an in-house developed method, proven in effectiveness, to help you unravel your relationship issues. We use both business principles and Emotionally Focused Therapy to bring love back into your relationship.

Added value

We are dedicated to solving complex problems with great and consistent results. We work on recreating attraction, use counter-intuitive solutions, articulate the problems, and create an overview of the steps to be taken. We guide the process. We make love work.

You might think couples therapy is not for you

Opening Up

You don't love the idea of discussing your relationship issues with a stranger. Maybe you haven't even shared this with your partner yet. You might worry this will become "just another place where you'll hear criticism or get the blame."

Expensive

The average divorce in the Netherlands costs €30,000. Money isn't the only thing you lose in a divorce -- you lose your family life too. Facing the future alone isn't an appealing prospect. It comes with grief, fear, and frustration.

We can do it Ourselves

Couples wait six years on average before seeking help. By then, they've locked themselves into the relationship. It's hard to break patterns on your own that have likely been part of your life for a long time.

What can you expect from Loveworkx?

We turn relationships around

Even when people feel very stuck in their relationship, a lot is still possible. 80% of relationships improve. You come out better off, whatever the outcome.

Non-judgemental

We listen without judgement. We help you make things discussable, without it turning into an argument.

No digging in the past

You don't need to relive your childhood issues or traumas to work through your relationship problems.

A relationship isn't a problem to fix, but a journey of awareness and growth.

The benefits of couples therapy

Relaxed

You look forward to coming home. You feel safe and at ease, without the fear of arguments or being left behind.

Revitalized

More intimacy and sexual satisfaction. You feel alive again, and it shows both at home and at work.

Rejoiced

You feel valued, supported, heard, understood, and truly seen by your partner.

From good to great.

Jacqueline Evers

A very experienced couples therapist

For over 20 years I have successfully worked with over 1,450 clients. I trained over 250 psychotherapists at the Dutch Academy for Psychotherapy in Amsterdam. I have helped Quote 500 people, celebrities and a lot of other couples to make their relationship work.

I have a degree in Psycho- and Hypnotherapy (2007) and Integrative Child Therapist (2005) at the Dutch Academy for Psychotherapy in Amsterdam. I am a certified EFT / Emotionally Focused Therapy (2020), Voice Dialogue (2008) and Family Constellations.

My approach is based on the most important contemporary insights into couples therapy and my many years of practical experience. I use interventions that are most effective and that are tailored to both partners.

Many things that cause stress happen in life. Cheating, dismissal, death, having children. This creates lots of thoughts, feelings and behavior. Themes that can arise in childhood include fear of commitment and separation anxiety, but also guilt and shame. Sue Johnson developed Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Scientific research has been done into this and it proves to be successful in 77% when it is used in relationship therapy. In 90% there is an improvement in the relationship. I have been trained as an EFT therapist according to the latest insights from Sue Johnson and I am affiliated with Stichting EFT Nederland.

Customer experience

A successful approach

We'd gotten a bit stuck on a topic and wanted someone from outside to look at it with us. I felt at ease with Jacqueline right away. It's remarkable how much can shift in such a short time. We came away with plenty of insight and mutual understanding, and we're able to move forward together again. I experienced her as a pleasant, principled, and empathetic therapist.

Straight to the point

Jacqueline puts you at ease right away and is a very pleasant person. By asking the right questions, she gets to the core very quickly, which makes everything clear and easy to follow. She also gives a clear summary after each session, which gives me something to hold on to.

Moving forward together after infidelity

My husband cheated, and that was pretty intense. It's not that we don't understand each other or don't communicate, or that we don't let our feelings in -- yet every session with Jacqueline I still learn something new about how deeply we can understand each other, let our feelings in, and grow our connection. I'd recommend her to anyone!
